WELLINGTON, April, 18—All the Standing Committees in Now Zealand have approved of the nomination of tho Rev. T. H. Sprott, vicar of St. Paul’s, Thomdon, to the Bishopric of Wellington. The consecration is fixed for June 6th. MINER INJURED. WAIHI, April, 18— T. Franklin, a miner, employed on the Grand Junction Aline, was seriously injured through the premature explosion of a charge of gelignite, fracturing the left arm necessitating its amputation.
