CAPETOWy, April 9 Oo!on«l Leuchar'a forces, which are opeiating agaiort the rebel chief Bambiata and his followers in the vicinity of Grey town, have, after making an arduous night march, occupied a point at Impanra that overlooks Bambanta's position. Several e>f the krnals of of the rebels have be«n shelled, and amongst their louses is Bambaata's chief henchman, who wm killed. (Received April 10, at 12.17 a.m.) Bambaata aod tho main body of hia i followers bave left their position at ' Impaoza, and have entered Zuiuland. Colonel Leuchers bas a force pursuing them. The chief Elbindi, wbo, with his men, intended attacking Bambaata in the bush at Impanza iv native fashion, is co» operating with the pursuers, as also are abeut a thousand other natives. Magwabata, Bambaata's uncle, whom the rebel leadtr foroibly csrried off with him, has escaped, and is now with tbe magistrate at Kratntz Eop.

Tbe magistrate at Weenen report* tbat a chief named Silwara in bis district was visited by two emissaries from Bambaata who asked him to join Bambaata. Silware declined to do so, and arrested both emissaries.

Military patrols at Impanza have shot several parties of blacks who had got isolated from Bambaata's main force.
