CHAMBERLAIN'S AUSTRALIAN VISIT CRITICISED.

Geo Reic*, Federal Opposition Loader, has returned here from Western Australia. He adversely criticises Deakin's invitation to Chamberlain, which la not intended to do honour to a great British statesman, but would place Chamberlain on a party platform as being a friend and helper of the Government.
An invitation from Australia should, in Reid's opinion, never be made for party purposes. The guest should come under su h circumstances that be could bo welcomed by all political parties.
