BREACH OF LICENSING LAWS
Dunedin. Jan 29
Alexander Bowie, brewer, Cavershim, was charged with sending a barrel of beer to O^vaka without having on it distinctly written or printed a statement that it contained liquor.
Mr Cruiclcsbanks, S.M., was at first inclined to agree with counsel that storage duty was sufficient, but after reflection decided it was not so, but as defendant evidently thought he was acting in ac« cordance with the regulations he dismissed the case.
