MAILS CLOSE!.
The West Coast mad will leave Christchurch on Thursday 23rd insfc, and Greymouth the same day, instead of on Friday. A special train will be arranged from Greymouth to Jacksons. The coach mails will therefore close here at 7 a.m. on Thursday next." HOLIDAY NOTICE. Christmas Day-*- On Saturday 25th inst the Post Office will observe a close holiday. Mails usually despatched on that day will c 7 ose at 3 pm. on Friday ' 24th inst. The Telegraph Office will' open from 9to 10 a.m. and from 7 to 8 p.m. Boxing Day— On Monday 27 th inst the Post Office will open iv all branches from 9to 10 a.m. Letter-carriers will make one full delivery commencing at 8 a.m. There will be the usualdespatch of mails up to 10 a.m. The Telegraph office will open from 9to 10 a.m and from 7 to 8 p.m. ]
