London, January 19.
A deputation vf loyal Irishmen waited on the Ma-guis of Salisbury today with reference t» the Irish question. The deputation urged upon rhe Premier the necessity of enforcing existing laws and deprecated the granting of anlrW) Parliament, as tending to dismember the Empire. Lord Salisbury replied and assured the deputation the Government were mindful of tho responsibility placed upon them in dealing with the difficulty and would uot be untrue thereto. Washington, Jauuary 19. Instructions have been issued by tbe Navy Department for tho immediate despatch of a United States man-of-war to Samoa.
