Melbourne, Jauuary 20. Tbe prisoners who etaud charged with the Colliugwood Bank robbery, were brought up for examination yesterday and remanded for further evidence. A caucus of the Liberal party, comprising 21 leading members, waa hold yesterday, when Mr Deakiu waa uppointed leader of the parly ia the place of Mr Berry. The question of a ministerial change waa then discussed, with the result that Mr Deakin was empowered to accept Mr Gillies' proposal for coalition of the Ministry, with equal representation for each party in the Cabinet. It is further stipulated that the protective policy should be maintained, and the education system should remain intact. The Union Co.'s s.r, Waihora sailed this morning for Bluff.
