The Australian mails, dated Mel* bourne, July 14, per P. & O. Co.'s R.M.S. Rome, were delivered here today, via Brindisi. Capetown, August 23.
The New Zealand Shipping Com pany's R.M.S. Tongariro sailed lasi night for New Zealand.
St. Petersburg, August 24.
His Imperial Highness the Czar left to-day for Kemser, a town in i Moravia, at which place he will meet their Imperial Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Austria. Madrid, August 24. An immense concourse of people assembled in this city to-day, upwards 30,000 persons being present. A resolution protesting against the action of Germany, with regard to the Cnroliue Islands, was carried amidst great enthusiasm.
