BREAKING QUARANTINE IN SYDNEY.

Sydney, Sept. 23. Hennes3y's brandy case, 35s ; bulk quarters, 12s 6d ; Patna rice, per ton, £17 ; Sugar Company's No. 1, prices per ton £35 ; maize per bushel, 3s j candles, D.R.J.S. perlb, 7|d, D.R.O.S. 7£d ; tobacco, ravens twist, per lb> Is 4£d, The police have reported to the Health Officers that the woman who has been living in an infected house in York street, which was isolated by order of the Board, broke through the quarantine enclosure to-day. The matter is now under consideration of the Government, September 24. In consequence of the quarantine having been broken through by a woman in York street, yesterday, the Government has ordered that the regulations shall be strictly enforced. A -fresh case of small pox is reported to-day in Kent street. Telegrams are to hand announcing tbat the Italian war steamer Euiopa, lias run ashore at ■ hursday Island, off the northern coast of Queensland. She is expected, however, to get off without injury.
