♦ TO THE EDITOE OF THE WEST. COAST TIMES. Sm — A notice, under the "Deaths," appeared last night in your contemporary, purporting to bo the death of " Joseph Alinan, aged seven weeks." Will you allow me to state that the said notice is a cruel fabrication, calculated to cause painful feolings to the parties interested, and little credit to your contemporary, in inserting, without proper authority, such an advertisement.
