COLTS v. SENIOR B CRICKET DRAWN

Due to begin a nine-day playing tour of Hutt Valley and Wairarapa this morning, the Wanganui cricket colts had a work-out on Saturday in a one-day match with a senior B eleven. The match was drawn, the colts making 221 runs in a completed innings, and the senior B team being five wickets down for 196 at stumps. Highlighting the afternoon was a good century put together by N. Wallace, a senior B opener. Hitting freely, he reached his 100 with a four off Stent, only to go clean-bowled to the next delivery. P. Robert John Beale was arrested on Saturday night charged with being in charge of a vehicle while in a state of intoxication. He was later allowed out ! on bail, but in the earlv hours of Sun- ; day morning was again arrested for 1 being found unlaw'ully on premises in Niblett Street. Bail was allowed.
