Trains Are At Standstill

DUNEDIN, Last Night (PA).—ln line with other parts of New Zealand, all railway and railway road services from Dunedin were stopped at midnight on Saturday. Trains and buses which were scheduled either to leave before midnight or arrive after that hour were brought to their destinations. The national vice-president of the Railway Tradesmen’s Association (Mr. V. G. Robinson), Hillside, the maintenance branch executive councillor (Mr. W. Dillon), and national councillors from Invercargill, left Dunedin by car today to connect with the ferry for Wellington. A private company has arranged to run a chartered bus service from Dunedin to Lyttelton tomorrow.
