U.S. In Excellent Shape To Meet A World Crisis
NEW YORK, Dec. 24 (Recd. 6 pm).—The United States was in “excellent shape” to meet a world crisis, President Truman told Masonic leaders at a dinner last night. “AH we need now is time, and that is what we are fighting for,” he added. Mr Truman said that he did not agree with those who said the American people were confused. “The American people understand the situation, and American people are willing to make all the sacrifices that are necessary to meet the situation with which we are faced,” he said.
