Five Occupants Injured When Car Drops Over Bank Near Thames

AUCKLAND, Last Night (PA).— The five occupants of a car were injured when it ran off the Thames Coast Road early on Sunday morning. The car was travelling south from Tapu and it failed to negotiate a bend and dropped 10 feet on to rocks on the beach.

Those injured wore Donald George Brokenshire, aged 23, of Totara, Thames Valley, concussion; John Brokenshire, aged 30, broken collarbone; Albert George Burt, aged 21, of Turua, Hauraki Plains, head injuries; Albert Samuel Death, aged 20, of Ko. puarahi, Hauraki Plains, broken fingers; Miss Eunice Limmer, aged 22, minor Injuries. Members of the policy and Transport Departments who were in a car travelling behind the car which left the road, released the injured and gave first aid. The four men were admitted to the Thames Public Hospital.
