MRLEE MARTIN

I\/IR LEE MARTIN, Labour’s first Minister for Agriculture, was a stalwart of the Labour Party in its early days. He pioneered the Labour Movement in Wanganui and when his parly gained office he was the member for a Waikato seat and went almost automatically into the Cabinet. Mr. Lee Martin was truly man who could see the other man’s point of view. On be con i g < farmer his sense of responsibility caused him to link np wnn the Farmers’ Union and despite his political cast of mindl he was soon elected a branch president.
