Christmas Messages From U.S. And Canadian Ambassadors
WELLINGTON, Yesterday (PA).— The following message has been issued by the High Commissioner foi Canada. “I am happy to extend Christmas greetings to the people of New Zealand on behalf ol the people of Canada. At this time there is one Christmas wish which will occur to us all: ‘Peace on earth.’ “May the united efforts of the leaders of the nations bring it to pass. ’ From the American Ambassadoi Mr. Robert M. Scotten: “To spend another holiday season in New Zealand is a special privilege for Mrs Scotten and myself. New Zealanders, through their many acts of friendliness and hospitality, have always made us feel at home in their midst. “The natural beauty of the country has sharpened year by year our pleasure in being here. With these thoughts in mind, on behalf of the American people and our ‘official family’ here, I am glad to extend to the people of New Zealand and all Amer.’cans residing in the Dominion my very best wishes for a merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.’’
