PERSIA ALERTS GUARDS ALONG FRONTIER
TEHERAN, Dec. 20—Persia has alerted guards along the frontier, most of which is with Russia, and cancelled the celebrations due for the Sha’s 7 wedding to Miss Soraya Esfandiari, daughter of a Persian dignitary, on December 27. A Government spokesman said today that the extremely grave international situation was the reason.
The Prime Minister, Haji al Ramara, disclosing the frontier precautions to the Senate, said the frontier would be defended if attacked.
