Executions Of Prisoners To Be Suspended Meantime
SEOUL, December 21. (Recd 11.40 pm). —The execution of political prisoners has been suspended, the Korean Minister of Justice, Kim Joon Yun, announced today. He was replying to Press reports ot indiscriminate shootings of suspected Communist sympathisers.
The Minister denied that any children had been executed, or prisoners shot without trial.
He added that President Rhee was establishing a special board to review all death sentences and examine the whole question of an amnesty.
