Court Rejects Appeal For Petain’s Release
PARIS, Dec. 20.—The French High Court has rejected the appeal for release of 94-year-old Marshal Petain, head of the wartime collaborationist Vichy Government, now serving a life sentence for treason.
The appeal was made by the marshal’s lawyers, but the Court report, ed that it could find no evidence to justify a review of his sentence
