WINNER OF £2000 IS A THREE-YEAR-OLD BOY

NEW PLYMOUTH, ' Last Night (PA).—People often speculate in idle moments just how they would react if they suddenly found themselves rich overnight ,but although Brian English, of 32 Gaine Street, New Plymouth, today is worth £2OOO more than he was yesterday, he is not in the least interested. Brian is only three years old, and his name was written on ticket number 105188 which won the first prize in the Christmas art union draw this morning. His casual disinterest was not shared, however, by his parents, Mr and Mrs Sam English. A reporter who called at their home this morning found Mrs English still trying to absorb the news of her son’s financial success. Later he saw Brian's father wearing the broadest of broad grins steadily cutting hair in a South Road tobacconist’s where he is employed as a hairdresser.
