Australian Aid For South And South-East Asia

SYDNEY, Dec. 20 (Recd. 12.30 am). —The Minister of External Affairs (Mr. Spender) announced that the Commonwealth Government had decided to make available £25,000,000 j towards a plan for co-operative economic development in South and South East Asia. The sum would be spread over a period from June, 1951, to July, 1957 During the first year of the plan 1951-52, Australia would contribute £7.000,000.
