Store Lambs And Sheep Sold Well At Wanganui Sale

The last Wanganui sale of the year brought forward a light entry in all sections to a small attendance. Prices, generally, were on a par with late rates. The line of 250 woolly Wack face lambs created interest, many future sellers being interested as to what January prices are likely to be when a heavy yarding will be offered. On yesterday's sale, realisations should be very good indeed. The next Wanganui sale will be held on January 10. Prices were:— Sheep.—Light fat lambs, 41s to 48s;

fat wethers, 57s to 595; fat ewes, 31s; two-tooth wethers, 57s 7d to 58s 6d; ’Down cross, 57s Id; cull wethers, 44s 4d; good medium woolly black face lambs, 43s la Cattle.—Only oddments were yarded. Fat Jersey cows, £7 10s to £le; boners, £6 17s 6d; yearling Jersey heifers, £8 12s; vealers, £3 15s; calves, £<- 7s. Pigs.—Porkers, £4 16s to £5 Is; stores, £3 to £3 Ils; no vealers were yarded.
