Holiday Travellers Undeterred By Threat Of Railway Strike
AUCKLAND, Yesterday (P.A.).— Christmas travellers from Auckland do not seem to be worried over the threat of a railway strike. If there is no strike, trains leaving Auckland will be packed, as latecomers are still queuing for reservations. “A few people going to Wellington to catch the Rangitoto which sails for England on Friday afternoon have changed from Thursday night, to tomorrow night,” a booking officer said today. “But. there have been no cancellations out of the ordinary.”
