AMERICAN SABRE JET FIGHTER SHOOTS DOWN RUSSIAN MIG MACHINE
SEOUL. Dec. is. America’s new Sabre jet-fighter shot down down a Russian-type M.I.G. 15, jetfighter in a spectacular duel near Sinuiju, on the Yalu river border, the United Nations Air Force announced. Four Sabres and four Migs clashed. The Sabie pilot, Lieut .-Colonel Bruce Hinton, of California, dived from 25.000 feet ; () destroy the Mig al 18,000 feet. Both planes dropped wing tanks for the duel. The Sabres are understood to be the first American jets able to overtake Migs.—Reuter.
