Inquiry Into The Singapore Riots Is To Be Held
SINGAPORE, Dec. 19 (Rec. 8.30 pm>.—The Governor of Singapore (Sir Franklin Gimson) announced in the Legislative Council today that an inquiry into last week’s Muslim riots in the colony would be convened at the earliest reasonable opportunity. The Government spokesman said the nightly curfew, which was imposed on Singapore during the riots, was being lifted from tonight.— Reuter.
