Russian Notes Timed To Create Misgivings
LONDON. Dec. 18 (Rec. 6 pm).— A Foreign Office spokesman said last night that Britain viewed the latest Russian Notes on rearmament of Germany as “patetitly tactical devices” timed to coincide with the Brussels meeting.
The “Daily Mail’s!’ polit’eal correspondent said the obvious aims were to cause misgivings, perhaps chiefly by France and West Germany, about Russia'n reactions to the formation of a European defence force.
