Partiality In Allocation Of Power Alleged

WELLINGTON, Last Night (PA).— Why is it that certain power supply authorities can give increases when their general allocation has been exceeded? The Hutt Valley ElectricPower Board wants this question answered by the Electricity Controller.

Board members agreed today that the relief of the restrictions in Wellington was putting them in an invidious position. The board's engineer and general manager (Mr. I. R. Robin, son) said Hutt Valley had been above its allocation for the five weeks ended December 3, but considerably better than the North Island average for the same period. Since April, the board was slightly under the average for the North Island. Mr. Robinson said warning notices were still being sent to domestic consumers who exceeded their allocation unreasonably, and water heaters were still being disconnected.
