Flying-Boat Diverted The diversion to Auckland early yesterday morning of the T.E.A.L. I Solent from Sydney was due to unIsafe wind conditions at Evans Bay. I The flying-boat spent about 20 minutes, mainly over the Eastern suburbs, before the pilot (Captain R. Mc- ‘ Hardy) decided it was unsafe to land, and headed north. During this time ihe made a flight over Evans Bay at about 100 feet, but there was a dan!gerous cross-wind to contend with in addition to the treacherous northj westerly, which was gusting up to J more than 50 miles an hour.
