WANGANUI SHOW PIG CLASSES JUDGED ON HOOKS AT ABATTOIRS

Further results from the Wanganui Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s spring show, held on November 10 and 11, have been announced. In the baconers classes of the pig section, judged at the Wanganui abattoirs, Ashleigh Stud gained first place with 88 points, C. B. Anderson was second with 84 points, Levin Coop. Dairy Co. Ltd. third (81) and Okoia Dairy Co. Ltd. was fourth (80). The competition for porkers, also judged at the Wanganui Abattoirs, resulted in the first prize being awarded to I. B. Julian’s entry, 84 points, the Levin Dairy Company being second and third with 78 and 77 points respectively, and C. B. Anderson fourth with 76 points.
