As expected, the Auckland Racing Club received large entries for the summer meeting, to be held on December 26 and 28 and January 1 and 2. For the Auckland Cup 69 have been nominated, and there are 35 in the Railway Handicap and 40 in the Northern Derby, to be run on New Year's Day.
