HIGH PRICES PAID FOR FRIESIAN CATTLE
LONDON, Nov. 21 (Recd. 6pm). A herd of 52 Friesian cattle imported from Holland sold for a total of £185,995 at a Lincolnshire sale yesterday. The top price was £19,500 for a bull calf born last March. It is the first importation of Friesian cattle direct from Holland since 1914. The cattle were imported by the British Friesian Cattle Society to improve the butterfat content in British herd yields.
