CHANGES IN PARTY OF COMMONWEALTH M.P.’S TO VISIT WANGANUI

NEW PLYMOUTH, Nov. 20, (0.C.). —Some changes have been made in the personnel of the party of Commonwealth Parliamentary conference delegates who are to visit Wanganui ttfis week. A party o£ 17 which arrived at New Plymouth yesterday, and which will leave for Wanganui on Wednesday, includes representatives of four countries. Members of the party are:— Canada: Messrs. W. Bryce, L. R. Beaudoin, G. Diefenbaker, D. Johnson and L. T. Raymond. India: Shri Chimanjal Chakubhai Shah, Shri R Venkataraman, Shri Dev Kanta Borooah and Shri Govand (was of the Indian Central Parliament). Malaya: Mr. Dato Nik Ahmed Kamil Haji Mahmud (Prime Minister of

the State of Kelantan, Federation of Malaya), Mr. P. F. de Souza (Member of the Singapore Legislative Council). Australia: Mr. F. J. Fitzgerald, M.P. (Canberra), Mr. D. O. Watkins, M.P. (Canberra), Lieutenant-Colonel G. J. Bowden, M.P. (Canberra), Mr. G. Freeth, M.P. (Canberra), the Hon. R. S. Vincent, M.L. (New South Wales), the Hon. E. E. Reece, M.H.A. (Tasmania). The delegates reached Auckland by air on November 11 and 12 and have been making their way south to Wellington, seeting the country as they go. Their first call was at Hamilton and from there they visited the Karapiro hydro-electric station and the dairy factory at Tirau, and went on to Rotorua. Their next stop was Waitomo Caves and then New Plymouth.
