DUNEDIN, Nov. 20 (PA).—The Otago branch of the Trade Union Congress has pledged its full support to the striking Roxburgh hydro workers. Both the Port Chalmers and Dunedin branches of the Waterside Workers’ Union have also promised the Roxburgh strikers thoir full support.
A wage increase of £3/5/- a week, which is the general policy of the Trades Union Congress is one of the conditions ol a settlement of the Roxburgh hydro strike claimed by the Roxburfgh-Gore local branch of the New Zealand Workers’ Union, the secretary, Mr. R. J. Barrett, stated this morning.
