(PA).—ln the House of Representatives today, Mr. Carr (Opp., Tim. aru) asked the Minis: er of Works to give an undertaking that engineers and others in short supply would receive adequate remuneration to meet mounting costs, and to retain their services. Mr. Cirr said a leading commercial artis: in the advertising branch of the Railways Department was being offered a retaining fee by a private advertising agency equal to the salary , he received from the department. His services were being Jost because the Railways Tribunal had declined ;o move in the maker within two veal’s.
