W.D.F.F. Raetihi

Although November is a busy one among farmers’, there was a fair attendance at the Raetihi branch of Women’s Division of Federated Farmers, Mrs. Malpas presiding. Mrs. Sigley entertained with a talk on her visit to Fiji and other islands. Competition results were: Best bloom, Mrs. Brown 1, Mrs. Bright 2, Mrs. Bernard 3; decorated plate, Mrs. Bell 1, Mrs. Bernard 2, Miss Solly 3; six flowers, Mrs. Brown 1, Mrs. Bell 2, Mrs. Bernard 3.

A pleasant afternoon was brought to a close with afternoon tea served by Orautoha and Middle Road members. The branch now goes into recess until the annual garden party to be held in February on a date to be arranged. Mrs. Sigley again offered the use of her lovely lawns and gardens for the occasion.
