LOXTON’S BOWLING MAY GAIN HIM PLACE IN THE TEST SIDE
SYDNEY, Nov. 19 (Recd. 6pm).—A sensational burst of bowling by Sam Loxton for Victoria against New South Wales in a Sheffield Shield match yesterday may gain him a place in the test team. Loxton took the first three New South Wales wickets for 16 runs. pain stopped play early in the day with New South Wales in a bad position. Scores: Victoria, first innings, 374 (Hassett 179; Lindwell 4 for 64, Fred Johnson 6 for 112). New South Wales, first innings, four wickets for 75 (Morris 29, Decourcy not out 26; Loxton 3 for 16).
