RESIDENTIAL NURSERY

The monthly meeting of the Wanganui Town and Country Residential Nursery was held on Friday and there was a good attendance of members, presided over by Mrs. A. H. Mac Lean. A report on the nursery 'for the month showed that the alterations and improvements were 'finished and the nursery was now I open for bookings up to the usual number. Bookings already made extended well into the New Year so the nursey would remain open all through the holidays. The staff at the present, time was adequate, and by the beginning of December would be at. full strength. This effort is I Io raise money to purchase a refrigeri ator, which is very much needed for the summer months. Plans have been made and a tentative date fixed for a Christmas garden party to be held at the nursery about the middle of December. The main feature will be a parade of children in fancy dress for which good prizes have been donated.
