Mangamahu Golf Club Holds Successful Open Day
The recent open day held by the Mangamahu Golf Club was voted lhe most successful yet by the 84 golfers who attended. The ideal weather and the lunch and afternoon tea supplied, by the club’s women members and I supporters helped make the day ani enjoyable one. The actual jotirse, 100, is conducive to pleasant golf. Situated cn Mr VZ.I R. Kellick’s property', six miles from Mangamahu, the course is not crossed by fences in th? manner of most country courses. Results ot play on the open day were:— Women.—Morning: First division, Miss M. Mclntyre; second division, Mrs A. Doig. Afternoon: First division, Miss E. Kellick; second division, Miss J. Allcock. Aggregate, Mrs Jones. Men.—Morning: First division, E. Everett; second division, J. McMasers. Afternoon: First division, F. Wiggins; second divison, T. Bennett. D. N. Anderson. Teams match: Miss Mclntyre, D. Beard, G. H. Williams and H. E. Harris.
