H. F. Young Scholarships

Under the will of the late Herbert Francis Young, of Marton, the residue of the estate is held by the Public Trustee and the income used annually in providing scholarships for pupils attending the Marton District High School and the Marton Junction School. This year the scholarship examinations will be held in St. Stephen’s Hall, Marton, on December 4 and 5. Candidates must have been under regular instruction in sixth standard subjects for the six months immediately preceding December 1. The headmasters of the schools to which the scholarships apply have details of the conditions of the scholarships.
