Rhee Says Chinese Communists Are Being Directed By Kremlin
SEOUL, Nov. 6 (Rec. 12.25 am).— The South Korean President, Syngman Rhee, told a press conference today that the North Koreans aid Chinese Communists are acting tfn orders from the Kremlin. He added: “I don’t believe they will talk about peace, since their purpose is to keep people fighting each other.” Asked whether he favoured military intervention against Communist China as a means of stopping China’s participation : n the conflict Rhee said: “My impulse would be to do it right away, but I don’t k*now if the United Nations would ihink it right.” Rhee said he did not believe Chinese intervention in Korea could be stopped by a political settlement. However, he refused io specify just what alternative methods should be adopted by the United Nations to restore peace.
