World Government, Or Perish, Says British M.P.

AUCKLAND, Last Night, (PA) “Either we achieve complete world government by the end of this century or mankind ceases to exist,” said Mr. G. McAllister, M.P., chairman of the British Parliamentary Committee for World Government, who arrived tonight by ai!r to attend the annual con ference of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association. “That is not because of atom bombs,” he added. "Weapons more deadly and less expensive than the atom bomb are being developed with biological warfare. It will be possible to kill the whole milking cow population of New Zealand within a week and with less laboratory aid than I imagine is possessed by the. Auckland medical officer of health.” Mr. McAllister recalled that during the war President Truman had it in his power to destroy the whole rice crop of China. While the president did not use it that amount of power had increased greatly since the war. The committee held the view that the Commonwealth should take the initiative and ask United Nations to take steps to transform the organisation Into a world government. Mr. McAllister said the commission would report to a constituent assembly and draft the Governments constitution.
