British Forces Are Now Under The One Command
TOKIO, Nov. 5 (Recd. 8 p.m.).— Lieut-General Sir Horace Robertson, commander of 8.C.0.F. yesterday took over administrative command of all United Kingdom, Australian and New Zealand forces in Japan and Korea. This extension of his command, which follows an agreement among the three Governments concerned, affects all land, air and sea forces. It places under Lt.-General Robertson’s administrative command 27th British Commonwealth Brigade now fighting on the North Korean front and 10,000 strong 29th. Independent British Infantry Group at present disembarking at Pusan.
