BRISBANE, Noy. s.—ln a strong gale, Frank Sedgman played flawless tennis to beat the American singles champion, Art Larsen, 6-2, 6-4, 6-2, in the final of the Queensland singles championship. Though the wind carried lobs 30 feet wide, Sedgman broke through Larsen’s service and never lost control. Larsen, who defeated McGregor in straight sets in a semi-final, could not handle the boisterous conditions. Mervyn Rose beat the American, Savitt, in a quarter-final, but fell to Sedgman in a semi-final. In the doubles final, Sedgman and McGregor beat Larsen and Savitt, 4-6, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1.
