Elderly Pedestrian Killed After Watching Guy Fawkes Display
WELLINGTON, Last Night (PA).— Mr. Alfred Mudgway, aged 82,17 Richmond Street, Petone, was struck and killed by a motor-car on Petone Esplanade on Saturday about 8.15 p.m. His wife, who was with him, was unhurt.
Mr. Mudgway is said to have had poor sight and hearing. The Mudgvvays had just come from the crowded beach where Guy Fawkes celebrations were held.
