CLAIM FOR GENERAL WAGE INCREASE OF £3 lOS A WEEK
WELLINGTON, Saturday.—A general wage increase of £3 10s weekly of Is 9d an hour for all workers covered by awards is sought by the Auckland Labourers’ Union, in an application lodged with the Arbitration Court in Auckland yesterday.
The application is to be presented to the Court by the national executive of the T.U.C., and a Wellington member of the national executive of the T.U.C., Mr. R. Adams, said today that the Congres.s would be ready to proceed with the application as soon as a fixture was made.
