In Hotel “Just A Little Bit Too Long.”
He had been in an hotel only twice during the last two months, but yesterday he did not have any lunch and was there "just a little too long,” Edward Thorval Bergersen. labourer, of Dublin Street, told Mr. S. S. Preston, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday when charged with drunkenness. He’ asked for an opportunity to take out a prohibition order and Mr. Preston adjourned the Court for 10 minutes.
This done the Magistrate fined Betgersen £3. Said Sergeant Clements: Defendan: was arrested in Ridgway Street on Thursday and has been in the lock-up since then. He causes a disturbance when he is drunk, lying around the streets.”
