Traffic Officer Praises Road Conduct Of Motor Cycle Club Members

It was pleasing to note that, the motor-cycle races held on the Matarawa circuit during Labour weekend had been well conducted, and the behaviour of the cyclists on the whole was good, Traffic Officer D. F. Ross reported to the Wanganui County Council yesterday. “We had a little trouble—mainly speed—but it is perhaps interesting that our main source of trouble came not from the competitors or from club members, but from the motorcyclists who were not club members and who lacked that control and level-headed ncss which distinguishes the good member of the club,” Traffic Officer Ross’s report stated. Councillors also stated that they bad found the racing well conducted.
