Korea Only Part Of World-Wide Conflict
LONDON, Oct. 28.—The Deputy Leader of the Conservative Party, Mr. Anthony Eden, in a political broadcast tonight, said the Korean war was “Only a small sector, though a bloody one, of a world-wide conflict.”
He said the conflict “stretches through Malaya, where our people have long been at strain in fighting armed insurrection, to Indo-China, where the French and their allies recently suffered a serious setback, through the Middle East and Balkans to Germany.” It was a real gain that the aggressor had been stopped dead in his tracks in Korea.
