First News For Russians Of The Korean Disaster

LONDON, Oct. 5 (Recd. 7pm).—The first information to the Russian people that the Communist forces of North Korea had met with a major disaster, was given early today in a Moscow radio broadcast.

"A grave danger is hanging over Korea Under pressure of numerically superior American forces, supported by large quantities of tanks and aircraft, the people's army of North Korea has been forced to abandon a series of liberated regions and has withdrawn to new positions," said the broadcast.
