Wanganui Table Tennis Champs Begin Tonight At Gonville

The draw for the first round of the boys’ singles (beginning at 7.30 p m.) is:— R. Leahy v. S. Box, S. Paranahi v. R. Shaw, R. Baron v. B. Hayhow, P. Reilly v L. McLeod, G. Cook v. H. Cuttelli, D. G Hicks v. G. Everenden, R. Perepe v. L. Tizard, E. Price v. E. Elliott. These matches will be the best of three sets, 21 up advantage, and the championship will be played up to, but excluding, the final. At 8 p.m. the following men’s singles matches will be played:—R. Any player not in the hall when called will be scratched. In the seedings the top two places were given to the winners and run-ners-up (wherever possible) in last year’s open.
